There you go, idiotic pet owners again, don't want the beasts any more but won't do what's right, euthenize or left at the animal shelter. No wonder there is so many exotics lurking in Fla.
Not only that,most of them are illegal to own in the first place so instead of getting fined or jailed they let them out in the wild thinking they can fend for themselves.
But,the only reason this made the news is because Cape Coral is a high priced community and celebrites and major rich people live there.

Its also not "news". Florida has had lizard problems since before 1990.
